They say acting is the best exercise of body, mind and soul and I truly believe in it. My connection with acting is both eternal and spiritual. I don’t claim to be an expert in acting but yes I surely feel proud that I make my living with the help of this beautiful art. I believe that if you want to forget all your problems and sadness of your life, get up in the morning and become someone else, every day. I consider myself as just another actor and I thank my audience from the bottom of my heart for making me what I am today. My journey has been interesting and phenomenal, I was born in Ambala (Haryana) and then I shifted to Chandigarh. My family migrated to Mumbai in the year 1983. Acting was a childhood passion and I always wanted to see myself on screen.
During college, I started theatres in the year 1989 by taking part in inter-collegiate drama competitions and I won the Best Actor award for 5 times and 'Balraj Sahani trophy' by IPTA in ICDC. I was chosen as the University’s ‘Best Actor' in the year 1992-93.
Life took its first significant turn and I started with commercial theatre in the year 1999. I played lead in a Hindi Play 'Maa Retire Hoti Hai' and 'Dr. Mukta' with Mrs. Jaya Bachchan, produced by Mr. Sanjay Garadia and directed by Mr. Ramesh Talwar. I also did a comedy play 'Hum Le Gaye Tum Reh Gaye' with Mr. Jaaved Jaaferi, produced by Mr. Sanjay Goradia and directed by Mr. Vipul Mehta.
With time I grew as an actor and I met wonderful people who helped me shape my career. I did few films such as 'Rahul' (Mukta Arts) which is produced by Mr. Subhash Ghai and directed by Mr. Prakash Jha.

I played protagonist in ‘Nawab Siraj-u-daulah’.
I did 'Kohinoor' for Cinevistas as anti hero Kaali.
I played the protagonist Bhootnath in 'Raajkumar Aaryan' for Sphere Origins.I was fortunate enough to do ‘Shaurya aur Suhani' for Sphere origin again as antagonist Takshak. I did 'Mitwa' for BAG films as antagonist Nirbhay.
The role which changed me not only as an actor but also as a person was the character of CHANKYA in 'Chandragupta Maurya’ for Sagar Arts and 72 degrees Northe.
Playing Hindu mythology's biggest antagonist 'Raavan' in Devoon ke Dev...Mahadev was most exciting part of my acting career. But the shade was positive where Raavan was portrayed as Mahadev’s greatest devotee(Bhakt).
I played one of the biggest Guru in Indian mythology, Mharishi Vishwamitra in 'Siya ke Ram' for Triangle Films.
I enjoyed playing the antagonist Niranjan Agnihotri in the serial 'Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon- Ek baar phir' for Sphere Origins.
I did 'Time Machine' as KD, the Main lead for Pride Rock Films.
I also did many episodic stories like Crime Petrol, X-zone, Aap Beeti, Talaaq Kyon etc.
Currently, I am doing 'Nagarjun' for Beyond Dreams as Vasuki, which is a positive character.
I did Telefilms like Alakh Nanda directed by Mr. Yatindra Rawat and "Asha - The Boat" directed by Mr. Ramesh Talwar.
I did couple of music videos with HMV SaReGaMa.

I have given my voice to many foreign films like Ben-Hur, Captain America : Civil War, MegaMind, The Chronicles of Narnia : The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and plenty of cartoon movies and series.
I won Indian Telly Jury Award for Best Actor in a Lead Role for the character of 'Chanakya' in 'Chandragupta Maurya' and Star Guild Award for Best Actor in a Drama category for the same series in the year 2012. I was nominated in Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role as 'Niranjan Agnihotri' for the series 'Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon- Ek baar phir' in the year 2014 and award for the best actor in supporting role for the character of 'Shivanand' in 'Mahakumbh' in the year 2015, just to name a few.
I am really thankful to God and the people of Indian film and television industry for giving me opportunities to play so many and such varied characters. I believe that I am a learner and the process of learning is still going on. I hope you all enjoy my work. Your love and support is the prime source of inspiration. Please keep inspiring me!
